10,000 Steps: Exploring our Footprint and Her Long Walk
for Water

Ten Thousand Steps is a collaborative, interdisciplinary art project that culminates in a monumental installation in Silver Center for the Arts. Designed to raise awareness of global water issues through the topic of access, which currently affects almost eight hundred million people. The project involved PSU students in collaboration, public-engagement, research, critical thinking, design, printmaking, exhibition curating, service, as well as project production, installation, and marketing. Presented in collaboration with Christine Destrempes of Art For Water, Kimberly Ritchie and her PSU Color & Design class students, Brian Eisenhauer of The Center for the Environment, and Jane Barry of International Education Week.
